Internet Responsibility (i.e. No Porn Please)

There are some things that I feel a responsibility to keep circulating around the internet. Among them is this interview with a Spanish ibex brought to me by my sister:

Also, this clip from a speech by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright in which white people learn how to clap properly:

But, the thing I’d most like for you to take away from this blog is an introduction to Matt Love. Matt Love is an Oregon teacher, author and independent press owner. I found out about him through a book recommendation on the Multnomah County Library website. I read his memoir about his time as the caretaker of a wildlife and nature refuge on the Oregon coast, Gimme Refuge. In it he writes about his life as a writer, a lover of nature and a teacher. He is a wonderfully passionate, engaging and creative teacher. Every time I read what he writes I get a little burst of adrenaline and excitement about one day having a class of my own. I cannot encourage you strongly enough to check out his blog and read the backlog of entries. If his posts don’t make you want to move to the coast and teach, I’ll bake you a batch of cookies.

Plus, he and I are now Facebook friends, so I’ve got that going for me.
